Winslow Cohousing Group is the 2nd community in the United States to complete construction (the first as member-developed cohousing). The group formed in 1989, started construction in 1991, and moved in early in 1992.

In ______, an adjacent property came up for sale. It was initially purchased by a partnership of some WCG members, and was later purchased by the WCG Co-op. It enlarged our community garden/orchard space and added a workshop.
In 2009 our (1-acre?) forest was placed in a conservation easement, permanently protected from development.
